Natural Reserve and Eco-Boarding-House
Tinguá / Rio de Janeiro |
The Eco-Boarding-House Tinguá is a social project involving an eco-tourism-program. The Boarding House offers a rustic architecture and disposes of eight standard apartments as well as more rooms in the main building, a swimming pool, lakes, comfortable patios with hammocks and a wonderful view over the bio-reserve.
Incorporating the community, activities for adolescents such as environmental projects, occupational training and ecological agriculture are conducted. The natural reserve is situated in an area of 25 hectare, where 16,5 hectare belong to the so called Special Reserve of Natural Property (RPPN), located close to the bio-reserve of Tinguá. The Natural Reserve is about an hour drive away from Rio de Janeiro, in one of the most beautiful and still existing natural reserves of Brazil.
We are seeking interns for the PR/ Marketing sector (elaboration of an alternative tourism program for Europeans and Americans), for environmental projects and for teaching English lessons at the reserve to children with an adverse background. Board and lodging are offered.
Important requirements for the participation are flexibility, creativity and intercultural empathy. Furthermore, the intern should possess good Portuguese language knowledge which can also be assimilated in an intensive language course on site in Rio de Janeiro. |
