Social Tourism

Our Social Tourism was developed by IDM-Institut to serve as the project of self-support for NGOs (Non Government Organizations) which are inside communities and care for needs of local residents.
The development and promotion of social tourism activities are being stimulated in latest years.
Our Social Tourism has schedules that include the valorization of respect to differences in social and cultural lives, then, with their contact, so we can form a real opinion about the issues and questions that are in communities localized in Rio de Janeiro /Brazil, aiming to provide the knowledge growth and personal enrichment for whose who seek this kind of Tourism.
The Social Tourism’s has as main developing actions that can offer opportunities for social integration by fostering the understanding, not just a simple journey. The knowledge and cultural information on light and fun, through integration among communities’ residents will be an innovative and memorable experience that will bring you great moments with complete safety.

Ecological Tourism

Is for you who are in search to deepening the knowledge and experience on issues about environment, traveling to the most beautiful places of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil, appreciate the broad and rich ecosystem in its natural state, with its wildlife and its native populations intact. Preserving ecology for a sustainable development of local people, improving the quality of life for them.

Historical and Cultural Tourism

Discovered in the year of 1502, Rio still shows many traces of the past. During an organized sightseeing tour in the center of the city, you will pass numerous buildings from the 16th to the 19th century, like e.g. the 1743 constructed emperor palace Paço Imperial. Also worth looking at are several museums, churches and cultural centers, especially the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil. For the evening program a visit of the Teatro Municipal would be adviceable.

Visit of Social Projects

Our company is, also because of the offered procurement of training periods, in touch with several social projects/NGOs, which often help the poor and social excluded people from big favelas with great kindness and idealism. A main aspect herefor is the work with children and juvenils, who should be given perspectives for their future by measures in the school and work preparing area. We present you a few of these projects and give the opportunity for discussions with representatives of the NGOs and also with the concerned persons.

Rural Tourism

The Rural Tourism is a form of tourism that aims to make the attraction as plantations and crops in his culture areas where they serve as international references in so-called agribusiness.
Knowing a farm where the livestock is the main activity, understand their histories and local or the region customs. These are some of the goals of our work with rural tourism.
The rural tourism that is developing in our Institute has an integration character. We look to value the environment, the region traditions and farming activities.
We are contributing to fighting against rural exodus, promoting a source of income for rural properties. In Rural tourism, beyond the commitment to farming activities, it is characterized the appreciation of the cultural and natural heritage as elements of the rural areas, where you can contemplate with great authenticity to the cultural factors, through the redemption of the demonstrations and practical regional (such as folklore, manual works, "causos" and gastronomy), and precedence for the conservation to the natural environment.
The peasant life, with the ability in bovines and equines creations, cultural events and the landscape become as important components of rural tourism product. The aggregation of values also makes up for this possibility in production on a small scale, or the recovery and use of products in nature, so they can be appreciated and consumed in the form of preserved foods, dairy products, meals and others, bringing other ways of income for rural communities.

Our routes include:
centennial Farms of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, equestrian walks in Rio and the Matogrossense swamplands, along trails in historic farms in the interior. All this packaged by the sound of the serenade or luaus around a beautiful bonfire.
